What tapes can be used with TapeFormers?
This is a common question we frequently get asked, note if a tape is not specified below please contact our dedicated Engineers with your tape information and we will advise our Engineers recommend that you send us a sample of your tape.
Metal Tapes:
Aluminium Polyester Laminate Tape up to 0.35mm thickness - if the plain aluminium will be on the outside PTFE insert recommended.
Copper Laminate tapes up to 0.35mm thickness - if the plain copper will be on the outside PTFE insert recommended.
Aluminium copolymer tape up to 0.35mm thickness - if the plain aluminium will be on the outside PTFE insert recommended.
Plain copper or aluminium tape up to 0.35mm thickness -we recommended using a PTFE insert.
Steel corrugated tapes not recommended for use with a TapeFormer.
Stainless steel tapes not recommended for use with a TapeFormer unless the thickness is very small please contact us.
Some corrugated aluminium and copper tapes are possible to be used with a TapeFormer we will require a sample of the tape to make an assessment.
